REU

The Analysis RTG group has organized research and training activities for college students in the summer. Some of these activities are detailed below.

Adventures in Analysis at the University of Chicago

June 17, 2014 to July 31, 2014
Adventures in Analysis was an intensive study program that explored various topics within the field of mathematical analysis. It was directed by Robert Fefferman. It was geared towards individuals interested in future graduate study in the Mathematical Sciences, especially those coming from underrepresented groups, as defined by the National Science Foundation. Students had an opportunity to learn more about the parts of this beautiful field that are most important to them.

Bootcamp in Analysis at the University of Chicago

Summer 2016
A group of selected undergraduates at the University of Chicago followed an intensive study program during the summer directed by Wilhelm Schlag.

Bootcamp in Analysis at the University of Chicago

Summer 2017
A group of selected undergraduates at the University of Chicago followed an intensive study program during the summer. Those who had participated in the bootcamp 2016, taught lectures to the new students. The more advanced students were divided into several intensive study groups depending on their interests. There was a study group in geometric measure theory led by Marianna Csörnyei, a study group in geometric analysis led by Andre Neves, and a study group in elliptic equations led by Luis Silvestre. The whole program was coordinated by Wilhelm Schlag.
