• Preface, pages viii-ix: bullet points should not start with a capital letter. (8/3/2009)
• Chapter 2, page 15, example 2.9: change the second term of the first commutator on the right hand side of the inline equation to b^{-1}aba^{-2}. (6/11/09)
• Chapter 2, page 16, last line of proof of Proposition 2.10: change -2\chi^-(S'')+1 to -\chi^-(S'')/2 + 1. (11/2/09)
• Chapter 2, page 18, line -4: change "Sine" to "Since". (11/2/09)
• Chapter 2, page 42, proof of Proposition 2.88: change the two occurrences of K_n on line 14 to K^n, and remove extraneous commas. (8/3/2009)
