China 2004

I visited the CMS in Hangzhou in the summer of 2004. These are pictures from Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing.

At the LingYin temple. This temple is one of the biggest, oldest temple that are left in China. It's built on the hillside and this view is taken by looking down from almost at the top-level.

There were many statues of buddhas carved on the surfaces of the rock alongside the road to the LingYin temple.

The statue of YuFei. YuFei's tomb is right next to the West Lake.

Inside the Forbidden City. It took about an hour to walk straight from south entrance to north entrance.

At the Summer Palace. View of the KunMing lake from the top of the palace. This lake is man-made.
china13
At a garden inside the Summer Palace. It used to rain three to four times a day in Beijing when I visited there.
