Midterm 1 on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Its main topics will be trigonometric functions and their limits and derivatives, finding maxima and minima, concavity, and applications of these ideas. Here are some practice problems (which aren't a homework assignment; you don't have to turn them in, but trying some of them should be a good way to prepare for the test):
Section 0.7: problems 9 and 10; Section 1.4, any of the problems from 1-14; Section 2.4, any of the problems from 1-18, 20, 21, 25; Section 2.8, problems 15, 18; Section 3.1, any problems from 5-26; Section 3.2, problems 19-26, 35, 40; Section 3.3, problems 11-20, 31-36; Section 3.4, problems 6, 7, 14, 15, 17, 34; Section 3.5, problems 3, 9, 12.
Homework 4 (due Wednesday, Feb. 3): Section 3.6, problems 2, 3, 6, 24; Section 3.8, problems 1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 18.
Homework 5 (due Friday, Feb. 5): Section 4.1, problems 1, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 19 (don't worry; they're quick problems!); Section 4.2, problems 7, 8, 11.
Homework 6 (due Wednesday, Feb. 10): Section 4.3, problems 1, 3, 9, 10, 12, 13, 19, 23; Section 4.4, problems 1, 2.
Homework 7 (due Friday, Feb. 19): Section 4.4, problems 5, 8, 15, 21, 22, 26.
Midterm 2 on Monday, Feb. 22. It will be focusing mostly on antiderivatives and integrals, but can also cover topics from the first midterm! Practice problems (in addition to the practice problems for midterm 1):
Section 3.6, problems 4, 5, 8, 9, 23; Section 3.8, any of the problems from 1-18, 27, 28, 29, 37, 38; Section 4.1, problems 9-14, 16, 17; Section 4.2, problem 11, 13, 17; Section 4.3, any of the problems from 9-15, and from 17-26; Section 4.4, any of the problems from 1-14, and 15-26, 35, 36; Section 4.5, problems 1, 2.
Homework 8 (due Monday, March 1): Section 5.1, problems 3, 7, 10; Section 5.2, problems 1, 2, 18, 21.

Final on Tuesday, March 16, in STU 101 on everything in the class! Here are some practice problems (in addition to the ones for the first two midterms):
Section 5.1, problems 4, 5, 7, 9; Section 5.2, problems 3, 19, 20, 22, 23; Section 5.3, any of the problems from 1 to 12, 13, 14; Section 6.1, any of the problems from 3-14, 31, 32, 33, 34; Section 6.3, problems 6, 7, and any of the problems from 11-22.
