- Matlab code for simulating stochastic neural networks is found
here. The code uses Dan Gillespie's stochastic simulation algorithm to simulate a network of two-state neurons with arbitrary connectivity, although a simplified and faster version for homogenous populations is included; this in fact will do arbitrary two-population birth and death processes. A binary search algorithm for matlab, weirdly not part of the standard library, is included. Please email me if you find it useful!
- This code supports the paper
Avalanches in a Stochastic Model of Spiking Neurons by Benayoun, Cowan, van Drongelen and
Wallace, published July 2010 in
PLoS Computational Biology.
